About Crackjaw Publishing

Crackjaw Publishing was founded in 2006 as a publisher of literary fiction.

We are a small press, and we plan to stay that way. As a small press, we can offer our authors certain advantages, like straightforward contracts, non-exclusive rights grants, copyright retention, and close involvement in the editing and publication processes. Our authors are also encouraged to expand their work howsoever they choose; this is how our list of genres has expanded.

New authors, please stick to literary fiction.

Please recognize, however, that most of our distribution is through the venues available to a small press. The large part of our distribution is through Chapters.ca in Canada and Amazon.com in the US. Authors are also encouraged to sell their own work, and for this they receive the percentage normally given to other retail venues.
